How to Disable GMAIL's Suggested Replies on DESKTOP and APP

This article explains how to turn off the Smart Reply feature of GMAIL on the DESKTOP and on the mobile App.

You may have noticed recently that when you receive an email using Google's GMAIL, there are often canned responses you can select from at the bottom of the email. Here is a screenshot:

Other replies offered include: Sounds good to meGood for me too. I vote yes.

Google calls this the Smart Reply feature. With this feature active, GMAIL scans your emails in order to make what its algorithms think are logical replies based on the email's content. The object, of course, is to save you time. However, some folks don't find the feature useful, and some find the scanning of their emails for this reason somewhat creepy, so here are instructions for turning this feature off on the desktop and the mobile app.

I know some people like this, but it just clutters up an already-too-cluttered laptop screen and I don't need it. Thank you.
